My name is Jessica Stanley and I am a senior at the University of Utah. I am pursuing a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Environmental and Organismal Biology. I joined the Clayton-Bush lab in the spring of 2019 and am currently working with Dale Clayton and Sarah Bush counting several species of louse and mites to compare ectoparasite load to bill morphology for both bananaquits and common ground doves from the Bahamas.

Outside of the lab, I love to hike, camp and travel. It is my dream in life to travel the world and experience other cultures. I love baking and anytime I have some free time you can usually find me baking cakes, cookies and pie.

I am currently applying to graduate programs in veterinary medicine. However, my love for animals and conservation also has me interested in doing a PhD in conservation. I am excited to see where the future takes me and what I can do to help change the world.
