Primarily biology and systematics.

Articles pertaining to the biology and systematics of lice (Insecta: Phthiraptera) are found in well known and obscure publications. No list will ever be complete, nor will it be the work of one individual.

This list began with the merger of bibliographies maintained by Vincent Smith and Robert C. Dalgleish. Smith is primarily responsible for many of the early scanned documents which have been linked as PDF files. Bob maintained these files on his Web site ( which has been an incredible resource for louse research and community. Sadly, Bob passed away in 2009. To assure continued access to this bibliographic information we have copied this part of his Web site.

Most of the articles listed are protected by copyright. Some of the publications are available from this site as PDF files.
